I am delighted to welcome you to St. Augustine's and to our recently re-designed website. I hope you find the content useful in providing you with up to date information on our school, students and staff.

St Augustine's is a vibrant and successful 11 -18, fully comprehensive school in Kilburn where we encourage everyone, to "be the best that they can be". Our students enjoy their school lives and we try to ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of the students or to improve their learning.

It is our aim that all students leave us with the skills and attributes required to be lifelong learners and positive role models in the community. We are aiming to prepare them to be citizens of the world by teaching shared values and an understanding of the world around them. We are a multi-cultural, multi-faith school with a Christian ethos.

Every student at St Augustine's is treated as an individual with individual needs. As a result, each student benefits from an individual learning programme and pastoral care that suits them best. We are really keen to receive the views of students, parents and members of the local community and want to act on ideas to improve our school. We are also committed to our place in the wider community and welcome ideas about how we develop relationships in our locality and beyond.

The school was last inspected in December 2009. Ofsted judged the school to be: 'Good with outstanding features'. As well as our year on year improvements in examination results, Ofsted identified St Augustine's as 'an exceptionally caring school which nurtures students' all round developments'. The s48 inspection by the Diocesan Board for Schools (February 2010) judged the school: ‘Good with outstanding features'.

We are really pleased to say that through Building School’s for the Future, we are looking forward to enjoying fantastic new facilities. Our new sports centre opened in January 2010 and there is much more to follow.
